HALIFAX -- Nova Scotia Health continues to identify potential COVID-19 exposures throughout the province.

See below for an updated list of the latest exposures in Nova Scotia.

EXPOSURES RELEASED APRIL 19

SELF-ISOLATION REQUIRED

Public Health says regardless of COVID-19 symptoms, those who were present at the following locations during the specified dates and times are required to self-isolate while waiting for their test result. If a negative test result is recieved, you do not have to continue isolating. If a positive result occurs, you will be contacted by Public Health for the next steps.

  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including April 29.

TESTING REQUIRED

Public Health is asking anyone visited or worked the following locations on the listed dates and times to immediately book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have COVID-19 symptoms, and do not need to self-isolate in the meantime unless they have symptoms.

  • Halifax Shopping Centre (Any store, 7001 Mumford Rd, Halifax)
  • April 13 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including April 27.
  • Superstore Lower Sackville (745 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville)
  • April 17 between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m
  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including May 1.
  • Giant Tiger Lower Sackville (720 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville)
  • April 17 between 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including May 1.

Public Health is also reccomending testing for those who on the following flights, in the specified rows and seats.

  • April 16 from Montreal (8 a.m.) to Halifax (10:24 a.m.)
  • Passengers in rows 23-27 seats C, D and F
  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including April 30

  • Passengers in rows 20-26 seats A, C and D
  • Symptoms may develop up to, and including April 30

Nova Scotia Public Health issued corrections to exposures previously reported on April 17.

  • Walmart Bayers Lake (220 Chain Lake Dr, Halifax) 
  • April 12 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (CORRECTED DATE)
  • May develop symptoms up to, and including, April 26.
  • Sackville Public Library (636 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville) 
  • April 15 between 10:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • May develop symptoms up to, and including, April 29.
  • Air Canada flight 624 on April 13
  • Travelling from Toronto (9:30 p.m. on April 13) to Halifax (12:05 a.m. April 14).

  • May develop symptoms up to, and including, April 28.

Anyone who visited or worked at the following location on the specified date and time should immediately self-isolate, and take an online self-assessment COVID-19 test to arrange for testing, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.

Individuals who do not have symptoms of COVID-19 are not required to self-isolate while waiting for test results. Individuals who have symptoms are required to self-isolate while waiting for their test results.

Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following locations on the named dates and times are required to self-isolate while waiting for their test result. If you get a negative result, you do not need to keep self-isolating. If you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.

  • Departing from North Sydney, N.S. (Thursday, April 1) at 11:45 a.m. arriving in Port-aux-Basques, N.L. the same day.

  • Marine Atlantic crossing travelling on MV Blue Puttees
  • Departing from Port-aux-Basques, N.L. (Tuesday, April 6) at 12:30 p.m. arriving in North Sydney, N.S. on the same day.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

Anyone who experiences a fever or new or worsening cough, or two or more of the following new or worsening symptoms, is encouraged to take an online test or call 811 to determine if they need to be tested for COVID-19:

  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Shortness of breath
  • Runny nose/nasal congestion

COVID ALERT APP

Canada’s COVID-19 Alert app is available in Nova Scotia.

The app, which can be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play, notifies users if they may have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
