Two New Brunswick men are facing charges after they allegedly robbed a bank in Fredericton Junction and fled the scene on a motorcycle.

The RCMP responded to the Citizens Credit Union on Sunbury Drive around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say two armed suspects entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. They fled the scene on a motorcycle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Police arrested a 67-year-old McAdam man and a 42-year-old Saint John man outside a residence in the St. George area shortly after 8 p.m.

Officers recovered cash and seized a weapon they believe was used during the robbery.

Both men are due to appear in Burton provincial court Thursday afternoon to face charges in connection with the incident.
