Bill Dicks is CTV Atlantic’s Current Affairs Producer, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Bill joined CTV News in December of 2010, after working in radio for a number of years as a reporter/anchor and talk show producer.

Earlier on, he worked as a newspaper reporter in several newsrooms across Atlantic Canada.

During his years with CTV News, Bill has also stepped out from behind the camera to work as a reporter.

Among his stories, the use by police of cellphone surveillance technology; the cost of a public relations strategy used in the wake of the Dal Dental School controversy; Maine’s opioid epidemic; and the arrest and conviction of a Nova Scotian in Nepal on child sex charges.

As part of his regular routine as Current Affairs Producer at CTV, Bill helps to conceive, plan, and organize interviews and special news coverage for events ranging from election roundtables to conversations with Canada’s business, political and cultural leaders.

Bill has lived from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL to Yellowknife, NT and many points in between.

He’s also worked at jobs ranging from construction labourer, to security guard to casino cash cage supervisor and more.

When not working, Bill enjoys travel, home renos and gardening.
