Police in Halifax are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this month.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Robie and McCully streets around 2:15 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Investigators say a 48-year-old taxi driver was driving north on Robie Street with a male passenger when someone in another vehicle fired shots at the cab.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Today, police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for 26-year-old Andrew Jason Hudder in connection with the incident.

Hudder was paroled from prison late last year, but has since disappeared.

There are reports he is an associate of well-known crime figure Jimmy Melvin.

Police say Hudder has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a weapon, and nine weapons-related offences in connection with the shooting.

Kyle Douglas Shipley, 24, of Williamswood, Kirk Michael Wright, 24, of Halifax and Everett Douglas MacNeil, 24, are also facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the shooting.

Investigators believe Hudder is still in the Halifax area.

He is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is six-foot-one and weighs 165 pounds.

Police say Hudder is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
