A night out with friends ended in tragedy Sunday morning when two young adults were killed in a car crash in Beaver Bank, N.S.

Greg Goulding, 21, and Danielle Hudson, 22, died after the car they were travelling in left the road and flipped multiple times before ending up in the ditch.

"She's the one I go to when I'm upset, and the fact I couldn't go to her yesterday when I was upset broke me," said Lexy Dunham, Hudson’s childhood friend.

The male driver and another woman in the vehicle were sent to hospital in serious condition after the crash.

Dunham was six years old when she befriended Hudson. She says they talked and dreamed about everything -- from school to weddings and children.

"It just breaks my heart because now she doesn't get to do that,” said Dunham. “She had so much life to live.”

Dunham remembers Hudson saying if anything happened to her, she would want to donate her organs.

"She's going to help so many people and she's going to save lives," she said.

Dunham says she also knows the other female passenger, who remains in hospital.

"I'm happy she's pushing through it,” she said. “She's going to need a lot of support when she comes out."

The driver was treated and released. Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, and charges are pending against him.

"It affected a lot of people and I just want people to hear the right way," said Dunham.

Dunham says she wants people to focus on the lives lost and changed forever.

Meanwhile, Hudson’s father is remembering his daughter as a beautiful angel and says he can’t stop thinking about what the driver and his family must also be going through.
