Cyril Lunney

Co-host of CTV Morning Live

Viewers never know what to expect from CTV Morning Live’s funnyman CyrilLunney.

Originally from Saint John, N.B., Lunney started his career with CTV in 1988 as a camera operator in Moncton. He eventually came to the CTV studios in Halifax and in 2003, stepped out in front of the camera where he quickly made a name for himself as a fearless host - willing to do just about anything in the pursuit of entertainment. Cyril has driven a race car, jumped out of an airplane, played basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters and fed a mountain lion.

When not risking his life for the show, Cyril can be found at the morning show’s Digital Desk checking in with Community Correspondents and getting feedback on trending topics. Using Twitter and Facebook, Cyril keeps viewers plugged in and informed.

Cyril is also a passionate supporter of community organizations.  He donates a great deal of his time to charities supported by CTV Atlantic such as the Children’s Wish Foundation and the IWK Health Centre.  He has been a member of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Dream Team raising $10,000 for cancer research and he is also on the organizing committee for Chefs for UNICEF.

When he’s not on air, Cyril can be found coaching minor hockey and football – a necessity for a man with three very active children.
