Hi Everyone,

I was so happy to welcome singer/songwriter - Amelia Curran – to CTV Atlantic today.  The St. John’s native (who calls Halifax home) has been touring her latest album “Spectators” and is gearing to play shows in Halifax, New Glasgow and Fredericton this week.

That is, before she heads to Regina for the Junos later this month.  Having said that, this isn’t her first time at the rodeo!  Amelia won the Juno for “Roots & Traditional Album of the Year” by a solo artist in 2010 for “Hunter, Hunter”.  This year, she’s up for the same award for “Spectators”.

There aren’t many people who can craft a tune quite as masterfully as Amelia.  Her latest album is a compilation of thoughtful songs that will break your heart (in a good way)!  She really is a gem among the plethora of amazing Canadian artists (and it's so cool to claim her as an East Coaster!).

I’m so glad she could make some time for us on Section Six tonight!

Until then, enjoy the music!
