Hi Everyone,

The East Coast Music community is preparing for several memorial benefit concerts for Jay Smith who died suddenly last week.  Jay was best known as a guitarist for Matt Mays and El Torpedo.

This Sunday, April 7th three concerts will be held in Halifax, including two song-writers circles and a rock room at Casino Nova Scotia.  Then on Monday, April 8th, artists will perform a show in Jay’s memory at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre.  

All funds raised will go to Jay’s family, including his two young children.

Based simply on the impressive roster of music-makers who have signed on to these shows, it is clear Jay Smith was loved.
