RCMP say foul play is not suspected after a woman’s body was pulled from the Petitcodiac River in New Brunswick.

Police and emergency crews responded to reports of a body floating in the Petitcodiac River near the causeway bridge in Riverview shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday.

The body of Tiffany Yvonne Mertin was recovered around 11 a.m.

The 41-year-old Moncton woman was last seen alive on June 30 as she left her home in the Jones Lake area.

She was reported missing on Friday.

Based on the initial results of the autopsy and the police investigation, investigators say foul play is not suspect in Mertin’s death.

However, they are asking to speak with anyone who may have had contact with her in the days leading up to her disappearance.
