HALIFAX - RCMP in Nova Scotia have arrested four teens after police chased a stolen SUV about 50 kilometres from Windsor to the Halifax area early Sunday morning.

The Mounties say officers in Windsor located a different vehicle near Highway 101 that had been stolen on Friday from the Bedford area.

Police say officers then spotted some suspects in an SUV that had been stolen early Sunday morning from the Lower Sackville area.

The SUV rammed the police cruiser as the suspects tried to get away and police followed the stolen vehicle east down Highway 101.

Officers in Bedford deployed a spike belt to stop the SUV, which eventually came to rest on Dartmouth Road after crashing into a sign post.

Police say two girls, ages 13 and 15, a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested and were being held for a court appearance on Monday.
