Gas prices up across the Maritimes with first scheduled change of the new year

Prices at the pumps increased overnight across the Maritimes with the first scheduled adjustment of 2025.

Nova Scotia

The price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 5.6 cents in Nova Scotia. The new minimum price in the Halifax area is 159.7 cents per litre.

The price of diesel in the province increased by 5.1 cents. The minimum price is now 181.1 cents per litre.

Motorists in Cape Breton are paying a minimum price of 161.6 cents per litre for regular self-serve gasoline and 183.1 cents per litre for diesel.

Prince Edward Island

On P.E.I., the price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 1.1 cents overnight. The new minimum price is 164.3 cents per litre.

Diesel prices on the island increased by 2.9 cents. The minimum price is now 188.7 cents per litre.

New Brunswick

The price of regular self-serve gasoline in New Brunswick increased by 1.3 cents to a maximum price of 160.3 cents per litre.

Diesel prices increased by 2.4 cents, bringing the maximum price to182.2 cents per litre.
