Police are searching for two men in connection with a homicide in Halifax.

Halifax Regional Police spokeswoman Lauren Leal says officers responded to a shooting at an apartment building at 2711 Clifton Street around 8:40 p.m. on Friday.

Leal says the body of a man in his 30s was discovered in an apartment.

A second man, also in his 30s, was taken to hospital, but is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police say the two men, between the ages of 20 and 30, were seen fleeing the building on foot towards St. Albans Street.

Leal says this is not a random incident, as it is drug related.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
