A 68-year-old Halifax man has been charged with theft under $5,000 for allegedly filling up his car at a local gas station and driving away without paying on 11 separate occasions.

The suspect's car was first spotted driving away on Oct. 24, 2012 and police were called.

Police say the thefts from the Esso gas station on Dutch Village Road were captured on video.

Since then, police allege the same individual returned to gas and go 10 more times.

The suspect was arrested Friday at 8 a.m. when an attendant spotted the car and called police.
