HALIFAX -- A 38-year-old Halifax man is facing several weapon charges after police searched a residence in downtown Halifax Thursday.
Halifax Regional Police say at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 19, officers searched a residence on Brunswick St. in Halifax.
Police seized a hand gun and ammunition, and arrested a man without incident.
The 38-year-old man is schedule to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
- Unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possess firearm knowing its possession is not authorized
- Illegal storage of firearm
