Halifax police are renewing calls for clues in the murder of a man, nine years after his death.
Officers responded to 7132 Spruce Street in Halifax on March 28, 2004.
When they arrived on the scene they found a man in distress.
Kevin James Petrie was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Police determined that Petrie had been the victim of a home invasion and serious assault at 269 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth, nine days before his death.
They believe injuries sustained during the home invasion contributed to his death.
Investigators also believe there are individuals in the community who have information about the case that could lead to an arrest and possible charges.
They are asking anyone with information to contact police.
