HALIFAX -- Halifax Regional Police are investigating a number of break and enters into units at two self-storage locations in Halifax that occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of a break and enter at U-Haul Moving and Storage, located at 350 Horseshoe Lake Drive in Halifax.

Police say a suspect or suspects broke into a number of storage units sometime during the overnight hours. Police say they are currently investigating if any property was stolen from the units.

Approximately 20 minutes later, police received a call that a storage unit had been broken into at Metro Self-Storage, located at 10 Lovett Lake Court in Halifax.

Police say a suspect or suspects broke into and stole items from one storage unit. Several other units were damaged, but police don’t believe they were entered.

Police say they believe the incident occurred between 5 p.m. on September 12 and 9 a.m. on September 13.

In both cases, investigators have been in contact with the people leasing the storage units.

Police ask anyone with information about these incidents or video from the area to call police or Crime Stoppers.
