Halifax police are renewing calls for clues in the murder of a high-profile crime figure.

Terry Marriott Jr. was shot to death four years ago in the Spryfield area.

Police responded to a home on Whitehead Road on Feb. 20, 2009. When they arrived on the scene they discovered Marriott, 34, had been shot.

He later died of his injuries.

Investigators say his murder was not a random act.

The case was added to Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program in December.

The Justice Department hopes a cash reward of up to $150,000 will encourage people to come forward with information about the shooting death.

Anyone with information regarding the homicide of Terry Marriott Jr. can call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program toll-free at 1-888-710-9090.
