Halifax Regional Police are renewing calls for clues in the three-year-old stabbing death of Keya Knita Simon.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 117 Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth on Jan. 8, 2011.

Officers found the 19-year-old woman unresponsive inside the front doors of the apartment building. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Simon’s 32-year-old sister had also been stabbed. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released from hospital.

Police believe a party was taking place at one of the apartments in the building and that a fight broke out.

They say the altercation spilled out onto the front lawn and that both Simon and her sister were stabbed.

Investigators believe there are people who have information about the incident who have not come forward.

They are asking anyone with information to contact police.
