Halifax Regional Police are renewing calls for clues in the murder of 21-year-old Jaumar Carvery.

Police say the investigation into his death remains active, but the case has yet to be solved.

Two police officers were patrolling Gottingen Street on May 3, 2008 when they heard gunshots in the area of Sunrise Walk and Olympic Court.

The officers rushed to the scene where they found Carvery lying on the walkway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Carvery was taken to hospital where he died.

Shortly after the shooting, police discovered a unique Fubu jacket in the area, which they believe is a key piece of evidence in the case.

Police released a photo of the silver and black jacket Friday, on the five-year anniversary of Carvery's death.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the jacket or Carvery’s death to contact police.
