Heat warnings in effect for parts of New Brunswick

Heat warnings are in effect Monday for eastern areas of New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says the region is experiencing a period of very warm and humid weather.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 28-to-30 C, with the humidex making it feel closer to 38 C.

The warnings say cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast.
