A high school principal from Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley has been found not guilty on sex charges.

Doug Keyes, principal at Avon View High School in Windsor, was charged with sexual assault, sexual touching, breach of trust, using a computer system with intent to commit an offence and producing a false document.

RCMP charged Keyes in December 2011 after receiving a complaint about an alleged assault in 1998.

According to reports, the judge said the complainant’s testimony was not credible.

The 51-year-old Gypsum Mines, N.S. man has been on paid administrative leave from his job at Avon View High School.
