HALIFAX -- A human jawbone was found Sunday morning near Uisge Ban Falls near Baddeck, N.S.

Police say the bone has been identified as human remains and the case is with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner's Office.

Police remained on scene near a river by the North Branch Road on Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.

No other details have been released at this time.
