Police are investigating a violent home invasion that took place in Lunenburg County, N.S. on the weekend.

RCMP responded to the call shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday.

They say it appears a group of individuals forced their way into the home, sprayed the occupants with bear spray and struck two men with baseball bats.

The victims were treated at the South Shore Regional Hospital and released.

Police say one man is in custody and they are looking for three other suspects.

They also say the incident is not considered to be a random act as the suspects and victims are known to each other.
