A man was arrested early Friday in the south end of Halifax in connection to a complaint of a suspicious person in the area.

A witness reported seeing a man peering through a window in the 5200 block of Kent Street, watching a female resident in the home. Police responded to the call around 4:30 a.m.

Officers located and arrested a man outside of the residence in question.

A 37-year-old man is due to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 19 to face a charge of trespassing at night.

There have been other reported cases of a suspicious man looking through residence windows in the south end, but police say there is no evidence at this time to link the man to any other incidents.
