A man is facing charges in connection with a bomb scare at a Fredericton hospital.
Police say the man barricaded himself in the main lobby of Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital just after 5 p.m. Sunday and threatened to detonate a bomb.
The hospital lobby and cafeteria were blocked off for several hours, but police say the device turned out to be a fake.
The man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and causing mischief.
He is due to appear in provincial court Monday.
