Halifax police have charged a man in relation to assaults that occurred on Sunday morning.

Police say they responded to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Argyle Street at around 2 a.m. “A man assaulted two women who were known to him and then proceeded to assault a bystander,” police said in a news release.

One of the women was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they arrested the man as he attempted to flee.
