HALIFAX -- A Halifax man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in city's busiest shopping district.
Police say the 38-year-old male victim was standing on the sidewalk on Spring Garden Road on Saturday night when he was approached by another man who stabbed him in the upper body.
The suspect fled the scene.
The victim was treated for life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.
Police say the suspect and the victim know each other.
The 38-year-old suspect has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and three counts of breaching a court order.
