A man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car on Prince Edward Island late Wednesday afternoon
The accident happened around 4 p.m. in Marshfield, a community not far from Charlottetown.
Police say the 53-year-old victim was thrown quite a distance from the accident scene, and the impact spun the car around the road.
He died at the scene.
The victim’s name may be released Thursday.
An elderly couple, including the 85-year-old male driver of the car, was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.
The investigation is ongoing and police say charges may be laid.
