A 27-year-old Nova Scotia man is facing a slew of drug and weapons charges after police raided a home in Lunenburg County.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Cove Road in Conquerall Bank on Friday.

Officers seized a quantity of hydromorphone, cash, other drug-related property and several loaded firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun and three handguns.

Sean Andrew Ivany was arrested on a parole violation warrant. Police say he remains in custody and is facing several charges:

·         Possession of firearms contrary to order (six counts)

·         Careless use of a firearm (six counts)

·         Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized (six counts)

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (seven counts)

·         Unauthorized possession of a firearm (five counts)

·         Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition (three counts)

·         Tampering with a serial number (two counts)

·         Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)

Ivany is due to appear in Bridgewater provincial court at a later date.

Police say the seizures remain under investigation.
