A man who fell 30 feet from a building in the Halifax area is recovering in hospital.

The man was working on a building off Larry Uteck Boulevard around 8 a.m. Friday when he fell nine metres and landed on a metal awning over the entrance of the building.

“We tried with our high angle rescue team and proceeded to get him off the roof and down on the ground and administered first aid and got him off to EHS,” says Brendan Dunfee of Halifax Fire.

The man was conscious when he was lifted down from the building.

The nature of his injuries is not known at this time.
