GREENFIELD, N.S. -- A 51-year-old man from Liverpool was transported to the hospital after his speed boat collided with a Sea-Doo on a lake in Greenfield Saturday evening.

Queens District RCMP say that a speed boat carrying four people was travelling on Ponhook Lake when it collided with a Sea-Doo at approximately 7:50 p.m. on July 2.

RCMP say the 51-year-old driver of the boat was transported by LifeFlight to a Halifax hospital with serious, by non-life threatening, injuries.

Police say the remaining passengers of the boat, as well as the driver of the Sea-Doo, were not injured.

RCMP are still investigating the cause of the crash.
