A man has died and two people are in hospital following a head-on collision on Nova Scotia’s Highway 103 in Lunenburg County.
RCMP and emergency crews responded to the crash between exits 14 and 15 in Hebbs Cross just before 4 p.m.
They say a westbound SUV collided head-on with an eastbound minivan.
The lone male occupant of the SUV and a female passenger in the minivan were taken to the South Shore Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
The male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 103 was closed in both directions for approximately two hours while police investigated the scene. It has since reopened to traffic.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
