A man wanted on a nationwide warrant in connection with a Halifax stabbing has turned himself in to police.
Police say 18-year-old Michael Richard Stewart was arrested without incident in Halifax on Tuesday.
Stewart is facing charges of attempted murder, assault and four counts of breach of probation in connection with a stabbing that took place outside an apartment building on Forbes Street Saturday night.
Police responded to the fight after 8 p.m. They say several individuals were involved in the scuffle, resulting in one man being stabbed. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A nationwide warrant was issued for Stewart in connection with the incident but he turned himself in to Halifax Regional Police yesterday.
He is due to appear in court today.
