Lunenburg County RCMP say a missing 64-year-old man has been found safe.

David Lewis Foster was seen leaving his Scarsdale, N.S. home around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Police said he was spotted inside his vehicle on a logging road off of Barss Corner Road in Parkdale, N.S. shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, but when approached, he fled into the woods on foot.

He was spotted once again shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, walking in the Scarsdale area. Lunenburg County RCMP Police Dog Services and a Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources helicopter were called in to assist in a search for Foster.

Police say Foster has since been located and is safe.
