QUEENSPORT, N.S. -- The RCMP in Nova Scotia say a 79-year-old trapper who failed to come home last night in Guysborough County has been found.

Sgt. Alain LeBlanc says the man was found shortly before 9 a.m. today after spending the night in the woods near Queensport.

LeBlanc says the man is in good health and did not require any medical attention.

The man went into the woods Thursday afternoon to check on his traps and was reported missing after he didn't return home at 8:15 p.m.

Ground search and rescue teams and volunteers were involved in the search.
