Cape Breton Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly man reported missing from a special care home in Sydney River, N.S.

Police say 71-year-old Arthur Wells was last seen leaving the Breton Ability Centre around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Wells is described as being five-foot-eight inches tall and 160 pounds, with white hair and a white moustache. He walks very slowly with a limp and is hard of hearing.

He is believed to be wearing a blue winter jacket, a winter vest, blue jeans, and possibly a hat.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.

According to the Breton Ability Centre website, the facility provides services and support to people with varying disabilities, including challenges due to severe developmental disabilities, mental health challenges and/or complicating physical disabilities.
