Emily Baron Cadloff is a video-journalist based out of Halifax.
Born in Montreal, Emily was raised in Winnipeg, beginning her journalism career after winning a radio contest at age 14. She attended the University of Winnipeg and Red River College, graduating from the Creative Communications program with a major in Journalism.
Emily began her career as a web journalist for CTV Saskatoon, then reporting for Global News in Fredericton and CBC Prince Edward Island. She’s travelled across the Maritimes, covering everything from breaking news, to weather events, to profiles and features of extraordinary people.
A firm believer in the power of the press, Emily thrives doing live news, and has been nominated for awards for her television and written work. She is grateful to viewers who put their trust in her.
When not working, Emily loves hiking with her dog, experimenting in the kitchen, and browsing the stacks at her local library.
