A man is in hospital with serious injuries and two people are facing assault charges after an incident in Pictou County, N.S.
The RCMP say a woman stopped at a home on Irving Young Road in Millsville, N.S., around 2 a.m. Monday and asked for help with her vehicle as she was having car trouble.
Police say a man went outside to help her and was attacked and assaulted by another man.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the two men and woman are all known to one another, and they believe the incident was the result of a dispute.
A 25-year-old man from Central West River, N.S. and a 22-year-old woman from Millsville, N.S. were arrested on Thursday.
They each face charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit an aggravated assault.
They were due to appear in Pictou provincial court on Friday.
