Investigators with the Cape Breton Regional Police and Nova Scotia RCMP are in Tennessee this week as they continue to investigate the disappearance of an Eskasoni woman.

Chrisma Ann Joy Denny, 23, was last seen in the Eskasoni area on Aug. 22 and reported missing by her family on Nov. 4.

Police say Denny has been known to live in Eskasoni and also in Sydney. She is also known to travel outside Cape Breton for extended periods of time.

Her family believes she was most recently living in the Sydney area.

Investigators have confirmed Denny was spotted in Knox County, Tennessee on Sept. 19. They say she entered the United States in late August and interacted with police in Alabama and Knox County.

Local officers will be speaking with police in the Knox County area this week in the hopes of furthering their investigation.

Police say they have explored several tips but have been unable to confirm any further sightings of Denny.

Denny is described as five-foot-six and 145 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and light skin.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Cape Breton Regional Police at 902-563-5151, Eskasoni RCMP at 902-379-3822, or anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
