The Nova Scotia RCMP are renewing calls for clues as they continue to investigate the case of a Grand Lake woman who disappeared 10 years ago.

Police say 56-year-old Leonette Marie Purcell was reported missing by her family on Dec. 16, 2004. She was last seen that morning at her Grand Lake home but failed to return home.

Purcell has not been seen or heard from since that day.

Police say items in the home appeared to be out of place and an extensive search was launched in the Grand Lake area, but investigators failed to locate Purcell.

They believe her disappearance is suspicious.

Anyone with information on Purcell’s disappearance is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The case is part of Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program, which offers up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in certain cases.
