VICTORIA COUNTY, N.S. – Cape Breton RCMP are investigating the cause of a fatal collision in Victoria County.
The single vehicle crash occurred on Highland Road in Wreck Cove of Victoria County around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. RCMP officers from Ingonish Beach, Inverness, Baddeck and Cheticamp responded to the scene.
The vehicle was a Chevrolet Silverado truck. The RCMP report that the vehicle left the road and then rolled.
A 59-year-old man, 53-year-old woman and 45-year-old man were ejected after the truck left the road and rolled. They were transported to Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
The 59-year-old succumbed to his injuries, while the other two remain in critical condition. The 53-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital Halifax.
They RCMP are still investigating the crash and are attempting to determine who was driving.
The occupants were all from Middle River, N.S.
