FREDERICTON -- Two more courthouses in Atlantic Canada have received suspicious packages, this time in New Brunswick.

A spokeswoman for Fredericton's public safety department says a package was delivered to the provincial courthouse in the city on Wednesday afternoon and another arrived in the mail at the federal courthouse Thursday morning.

Alycia Morehouse says in both cases police determined the packages, which originated from outside the country, posed no risk.

Morehouse says police and court officials have been on alert to watch for suspicious packages after similar ones were received at courts in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Manitoba.

She said both of the packages in Fredericton arrived as part of the regular mail delivery.
