A 34-year-old Moncton man has been sentenced to three years in prison for trafficking in cocaine and ecstasy.
Chris Carlin, 34, is also prohibited from possessing firearms and prohibited weapons for life, and must submit a DNA sample to authorities.
Police say the charges stem from a lengthy investigation known as Operation Jailor, which targeted several individuals with ties to organized crime, as well as street-level drug traffickers operating in southeastern New Brunswick communities. The investigation culminated in 2009.
Police say eight other men and women have been sentenced in connection with the same investigation, and received sentences ranging from two to four-and-a-half years in prison.
Carlin appeared in Moncton provincial court Monday and police say two other men are due to appear in court later this year.
