BRIDGETOWN, N.S. -- The RCMP say they have laid more than 309 charges against two men and a woman in connection with a series of break and enters in Nova Scotia.

Police say the arrests follow a five-month investigation into at least 46 break and enters in rural parts of Annapolis, Kings, Lunenburg and Queens counties since last November.

The Mounties say the crimes targeted jewelry and firearms and were conducted mostly during the daytime.

They say many homeowners were unaware they had been robbed, while others did not report the crime.

The three suspects, 42-year-old Perry Fader, 56-year-old Kerry Laffin and 24-year-old Brittany Green, face charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit break and enter.

The suspects are all from Annapolis County.

Police say some of the stolen property has been recovered and more charges are expected.
