P.E.I. RCMP looking for man who reportedly jumped from Confederation Bridge

Multiple police and search and rescue teams are looking for a man who reportedly jumped from the Confederation Bridge Friday morning.

P.E.I. RCMP says it received the report of the man jumping at 3 a.m.

The Coast Guard Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, P.E.I. Ground Search and Rescue, New London Fire Department, the Town of Borden-Carleton and RCMP boats and air services are helping with the recovery operation.

The identity of the man has yet to be confirmed.

Anyone with information that could help with the search is asked to call their local police department.

The 12.9-kilometre Confederation Bridge connects New Brunswick and P.E.I.
