The mother of teenaged murder victim, Dillon Jewett, says she hated the woman who lured her son to his death more than the person who put the three bullets in his head.

Dillon Jewett's former girlfriend, 20-year-old Amanda Allison Greene, was in Halifax Supreme Court Thursday to be sentenced for manslaughter.

Victim impact statements were read on behalf of Jewett's mother, grandmother, aunt and younger brother today.

"The Crown is requesting a penalty of 12 years incarceration in a federal penitentiary," says Crown Attorney Jillian Ryan.

"The justice must impose a penalty not less than four years in federal custody and we're suggesting she stick with the minimum," says defence lawyer Brian Smith.

Jewett's body was found in a gravel pit in October, 2010.

Greene and two other people were originally charged with first degree murder.

Kyle Gowan and his brother Steven have both been sentenced and are serving time in a federal prison.

The judge has reserved her decision on Greene's sentence until tomorrow.
