The RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle collision in Cap Bimet, N.B. that sent a man to hospital serious injuries.

Police say an eastbound vehicle was travelling along Route 133 around 2:35 p.m. Thursday when it left the highway and collided with a deep culvert.

The driver, a 47-year-old man from Tracadie-Sheila, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in serious condition.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting in the investigation.
