A 30-year-old woman is facing charges following an armed robbery attempt at a McDonald’s restaurant in Oromocto, N.B.
Police say a woman walked into the restaurant with a blanket over her head shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 18.
They say she was carrying hypodermic syringes and demanded money from the cashier, who locked herself in a back room and called police.
No money was taken and the suspect fled the scene.
Police arrested an Oromocto woman in connection with the case Friday.
She remains in custody and is due to appear in Burton provincial court today to answer to the charges.
