HALIFX -- A combined investigation unit of the RCMP and Halifax Regional Police is looking into an arson that occurred Tuesday in Lower Sackville, N.S.

Mounties were called to a structure fire at an apartment on Cobequid Road at 12:30 p.m.

"Two separate fires were located and put out by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency," the RCMP said in a news release. "The fires are believed to be suspicious in nature. Approximately 50 to 60 residents were forced out of the apartment and no one was injured.
