A 31-year-old Halifax man is facing three weapons charges as a result of Saturday’s firearms incident in Williamswood, N.S.

Police and a K9 unit filled Moody Park Drive in Williamswood after receiving a call of a man sitting on a porch with a gun.

Police surrounded the home until a search warrant could be executed.

One of the items seized was a molotov cocktail.

The 31-year-old is in police custody and is facing charges of possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose, possession without lawful excuse and possession of incendiary device.

Neighbours say the house had been focus of police investigations before. Police were called to the home back in Nov. 2013 after several shots were fired at two houses in the neighbourhood.
